Olive Oil for Beauty and Longevity

We want to look great as we age and the fact is we're going to have some wrinkles if we enjoy life.... we laugh, we cry, we frown .... that's just the way life is.
But there's a way to keep our skin younger longer and we benefit health wise too.
The exceptional life-expectancy of people from the Mediterranean area where olive oil is used for everything from cooking to moisturizer has captured the attention of the world's scientific community.
Jeanne Calment, who holds the record for the longest confirmed lifespan, reportedly attributed her longevity and relatively youthful appearance to olive oil, which she said she poured on all her food and rubbed into her skin.
Olive oil, in all its greenish, golden, antioxidant-rich glory, 'Liquid Gold' as it's called could very well be the proverbial Fountain of Youth. Olive Oil keeps skin elastic and youthful as well as your hair shiny and strong.
Make sure you use quality Olive Oils, 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil' and always, 'First Cold Press' for nutritional values. Preferably buy name brands and some excellant ones come from Italy and Spain; at this time only certain Olive Oils are pure organic oil so check labels carefully and buy ones you can trust.
MOISTURIZER FOR FACE:
For face, pour a small amount into your hands and warm then dab onto face, not too close to eyes since it will cloud them. Allow to absorb 10 - 20 minutes.... then buff off excess with a soft cotton cloth.... apply your foundation or just go as you are in all your natural beauty.
MOISTURIZER FOR BODY:
After showering or bathing rub a small amount of olive oil over the entire body....it will absorb... lightly buff off excess after 10 minutes. (At night rub into feet and wear white cotton socks to bed.....over night your feet will be soft and pretty.

Makeup Tips for Flirty Glamour - Spring and Summer 2008

Glam Up for Spring and Summer!
This spring and summer 2008, makeup is stronger than ever. After years of telling women to choose between strong eyes and strong lips, both can be strong. This actually helps balance out the trends of the black and white power suits, floaty nightgown dresses or white eyelet sheaths. How wonderful to actually have options, we can ’flirt with glamour’ this season….which is exacty what us girls love to do.

Brows are strong this year….so don’t over tweeze…. just keep them groomed and arched, add highlighter to the brow bone….. it adds glam to the entire eye area. For us mature girls it gives us an instant eye ‘lift’ …. a makeup trick for younger looking eyes.

While the hottest runway looks involve wearing a fiery orange red lip most of us aren’t even close to looking like Audrey Hepburn or Ava Gardner; so it’s best to go with a strong matte lipstick peach or pink. ( lipstick, not lip gloss). The key to great looking lips is a a lipstick that’s satiny, a silky look that’s not too dewy and not too matte — add a light foundation, triple coat those lashes with black mascara or false ‘demi’ lashes …and darling your ‘Good To Go!”

Makeup Trends 2008 - Spring and Summer

Makeup Artist Shannon looks beautiful with Pink lips and blush, eyes expertly lined in black liquid liner very close to the lash line.... a pretty 'day' look. Trend for Spring and Summer 2008 ... lots of 'Color'...so experiment... especially with the most popular color all ...PINK!

Donna loves purple! Great, since it's another 'trendy' color this year. At Donna's session I applied eyeshadow in 'Gold and Purple'...blending the two. Keep in mind 'GOLD' is one of the hottest colors for Spring and Summer for day and evening. For fun, blend several colors of shadows together and then highlight the brow bone. Go for False Eyelashes too, it's big in 2008. Donna's Makeover included application of black 'demi lashes'... a thin line of black liquid liner close to the lash line and 2 coats of mascara to lower lashes to open up her eyes to make them pop.

Danielle wears the 'New Look' beautifully with heavily lashed eyes and pretty Pink lips and blush. Light foundation evens out her skin tone....and she's good to go....a lovely young lady and pefect 'model .......
